With waterproofing rating of 20,000 mm, the GORE-TEX 3L Alpha Hoody uses mechanically textured polyamide 6,6 for the outer layer for exceptional abrasion resistance and durability. Specially developed for professional users, this high-performance hoody impresses with a three-layer GORE-TEX construction that is light and resilient. 

Breathable EPTFe membrane

The middle layer of the GORE-TEX 3L Hoody is a high-performance EPTFe membrane. This ensures superior breathability in perfect harmony with other garment layers.

Maximum comfort

The comfortable nylon backing of this advanced wet weather jacket ensures maximum comfort and provides the user with a pleasant wearing experience. Alpha Jacket upgrades versus the Hoody include armpit ventilation zips and a packable hood 

Lightweight GORE-TEX

A smart combination of Lightweight GORE-TEX fabric and a 13 mm waterproofing tape at the seams ensures minimal weight while maintaining optimal air permeability and waterproofing.

Packsafe Technology

Thanks to new Packsafe Technology, the GORE-TEX 3L Hoody can be easily stowed in the depths of tough utility bags and backpacks without fear of loss of shell performance or quality.

Feature for dynamic operations

The cut in the back offers unrestricted freedom of movement, while the sleeve cuffs can be easily adjusted with hook-and-loop. Thanks to elastic cords on the hem and hood of the GORE-TEX 3L Hoody, their fit can be individually adjusted.

Care instructions: Please wash at maximum 85F degrees and do not use fabric softener. Do not iron the GORE-TEX 3L Hoody. Do not put in dryer.

Polyamide 6,6 (Nylon 6,6) versus Polyester:

• Cycles to Failure (Martindale Test): Nylon 6,6 typically withstands 35,000–40,000+ cycles before noticeable wear, whereas polyester usually lasts for 20,000–30,000 cycles.
• Performance Comparison: In high-intensity testing, Nylon 6,6 has been shown to withstand about 40,000 rubs, while similar polyester lasted through 20,000, indicating double the durability in some scenarios.
• Tensile Strength: Nylon 6,6 also boasts higher tensile strength (800–1200 MPa) compared to polyester (500–800 MPa), allowing it to better resist breaking under high-stress, high-friction scenarios.
